New Strap Ends - These Look Great!

Introducing the new Jodie's Camera Straps design.

The padded area of Jodie's Camera Straps are still 27 inches long.

The new ends will add 9.5 inches on each end, or a total of 19 inches - making the total standard length camera strap a maximum of 46 inches long.

All custom orders and new straps will have the new strap ends starting December 1, 2011. You may request the old style on custom orders.

I recently contacted Jodie of Jodie's Camera Straps when I found her selling camera straps on ebay. I live just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I'm a huge Steelers and Penguins fan. Along with this, I own a Nikon D60, which has a black and gold color scheme on the strap. I requested that Jodie make a strap that would follow the black and gold color scheme or be Steelers or Penguins related. Jodie promptly emailed me, asking if I would be interested in a Steelers' Strap and I immediately jumped at the chance. She informed me that it would take her a day or two to get the material to make it for me. About three days later she sent me a picture of the strap that she had already made! I immediately paid for the strap and the nominal shipping charge (I selected standard shipping which was only $2.00) and received the strap two days later. The strap that she made is extremely high quality and looks to be very durable.

All in all, I wish I could deal with people like Jodie every day. Her communication was excellent, her willingness to satisfy what I was looking for was unbelievable, and the product that she delivered was outstanding! I could not imagine having any better business transaction! Online transactions, and retail in store transactions should all be this smooth and satisfactory.

Jodie's Camera Straps has been very busy since the first of the year. When I started making and selling camera straps a year ago, I had no idea I would have so much fun, and "meet" so many nice people.

Thank you for all the wonderful comments and compliments. I appreciate each and every one.

I aim to make the second year even better. I'm constantly adding new patterns and colors, and of course, I'm always working with someone to create the "perfect" camera strap. I still love the challenge of finding designs that my customers request. So please, feel free to ask me about creating a custom camera strap for you.

I'm introducing you to my new camera strap from Jodie (a fellow MomPhotographer). It even has my name on it *squeal!*I should have photographed and posted about it before...but issues, blah blah blah. I'm not going there anymore.

The point is - this is it and I love it. I hope to get a better pic of it soon, but its not easy with only one camera and no full length mirror. I wanted one that was really long, that I'd be able to wear across my body (and I'm a large-ish girl, lol). She made it perfectly and it was so easy to work with her...and Very Quick. Did I mention that its soft?? LOVE!
I do a summer shoot for the Harley-Davidson dealer my husband works at. My old strap (that came with camera) nearly gave me hives and itched my neck; not to mention it was uncomfortable because it was so wide. She made my new one a half inch narrower - wearing it is bliss :).

Preface: I had been looking for a new camera strap to go on my new D300 for about 3 weeks, scoping out **** as well as google search after Google search. I just could not find one at the right price that I loved the design of. I'm picky I guess, but as a seamstress (I used to be in the business of making baby carriers and such), I knew what I was looking for - Quality, Cuteness then price.

Enter Jodie, I saw a posting of Jodie's on my 365 blog, and since I had not seen her post before I headed over to her blog, There I saw her "camera strap button" on the side, so I clicked on it. Right away I loved Jodie's work, from her detailed photographs I could see the sewing details on each strap was amazing. I also loved how friendly everything was, as well as the colors and prices! So, I left a message on her blog, asking her to contact me. With in hours I had an email from her and we started designing my custom strap.

Jodie was amazing, she worked with me tirelessly it seemed, even searching for "the perfect" fabric for me - when I finally decided on a custom embroidered piece.

With in a day, once we finalized (she sent me a proof to approve) it was sewn and in the mail (YES with in a DAY!), it was to me 2 or 3 days later and I LOVE IT. It's perfect! The perfect width (I got the 2 inch), and length - not TOO long so it's down around my knees but long enough that I can do a "messenger style" hold if I need to pick up the kids or write something! It's also comfortable, NOT like those you get with your camera which I HATED and loathed putting ON - this one, stays around my neck!

The sewing is amazing, I can tell Jodie spends a lot of time on detail, I cant even see where the embroidery breaks and picks back up.

It's a favored treasure and now, when I go shooting people can see my strap and ask "Why (business name)" :) It's a GREAT conversation starter!

Gosh, I am glad Jodie was blog hopping that day! :)
